I've determined that I cannot take fish oil. I started to break out so I eliminated all supplements and added back the fish oil again after my face had cleared. Well, I broke out again and my forehead especially developed a reaction with red splotchiness and uneven skin tone along with splotchiness. I guess you could say it very slightly resembled cradle cap because the skin was all dry and patchy. So I'm allergic to fish oil, or at least my skin is. I think some can benefit from it and some just have a negative reaction and I'm one of those.

after reading about all the positive reviews about omega 3 fish oil, I decided to give Nordic Natural a try. I purchased it at a local Whole foods store . May I remind you it's a lot more expensive than the other over the counter brand. They claim that it has been filtered and clean? I don't know how they processed their fish oils but I end up with painful cysts on my face , scalp, and back after taking it for about 2 weeks. I stopped the fish oil supplement and it cleared up. I didn't eat any differently nor did I introduce any new cleanser, makeup or skin care product to my routine. I was so horrified because the cysts weren't normal cysts. They were extremely large and painful. I didn't even have this amount of cysts to begin with so I was too horrified to try fish oil again . I thought it might just be my own body reaction but my niece who was also taking children's version of this fish oil in chewable form. she ended up with severe craddle cap at the age of 3 after taking it for about 3 weeks when children shouldn't even be "starting" to have craddle cap. when her mom decided to get her off nordic natural fish oil, her cradle cap went away and never returned again . There are many things about the fish oil industry that people do not know about, especially how they go around processing the fish oil. I believe fish oils to be healthy as can be seen by many cultures that actually eat fish. However, fish oil in it's process form is another story.

Initially, my psychiatrist recommended I take 2,000mg of Omega-3's daily as a natural mood enhancer (I suffer from depression and anxiety). After a couple of weeks of taking these fish oil pills daily, I did start noticing an improvement in my complexion. It was a nice surprise, because I had been getting hormonal breakouts along my jawline (whiteheads and pimples) ever since my birth control was switched. My skin looks much smoother now, and it doesn't feel as dry. An awesome bonus! Also, I think that this stuff has been serving me well with its original purpose -- my mood is slightly more elevated, and I just "feel" healthier in general. I used to take fish oil everyday and then stopped for a while, but I plan on keeping up with it now. If you plan on including fish oil in your supplement intake, take it with a meal (as with any vitamin or supplement) because you might get a stomach ache if you don't.Will repurchase. Makes me look good AND feel good. Amazing.

While most of the people that take this supplement seem to experience no problem whatsoever, this review is just a heads up for those that might be experiencing them. A couple months ago I began taking fish oil; I had hoped it would prove beneficial not just for my overall health but for my skin as well. I don't believe it was this particular brand, but it was basically the same thing (I was careful to take the "good" kind). I'll be honest--I didn't actually expect it to do anything, nonetheless, I vigilantly took 1-3 pills daily with my meals (just as you're supposed to). Within days I began to experience a rapid increase in cystic acne! It was very strange. I'm telling you, all these big zits (the painful kind) were suddenly, and quite randomly, popping up in multiple numbers and in places I'd never gotten them before! In hindsight I can say that these zits were just so different in nature from my usual kind that I should have realized something was off right away, unfortunately, it took me WEEKS (plus, a bunch of research on other sites) to realize that it was actually the fish oil that was causing it. After wading through tons of reviews on other sites, I realized that about a third of the people reviewing the supplement were describing the exact same symptoms I was experiencing! It was a huge relief to learn this! As soon as I quit taking them I stopped getting all those zits---I had been getting like 3-4 new ones daily--and my skin went back to normal. After reading a bunch of accounts by people who claimed it had taken them years to determine the cause (and only because they had stumbled across it on the internet), I figured I might as well put something here just in case someone else was having the same problem. It's not in your head.

I've been taking these on and off for over a year and can see and feel the difference when I slack off from taking it. My skin and hair loves this stuff and I notice a boost in energy as well. I've tried many brands of Omega-3 and this is the best in my opinion.

I take the Omega 3/6/9 version of this, and it's fabulous. I just ordered my 3rd bottle. In the past, fish oil capsules have made me feel sick, and made me burp stinky fish smells (yes, I'll admit it). These don't do any of that! They include lemon, which apparently helps with it, and I store them in the freezer, which also helps. It's important to have a good balance of all omega fats, not just 3, or you won't get the same results. Fish oil capsules are nothing short of miraculous. Research supports that they help with overall health, weightloss and how your hair and skin look. Obviously you should be eating a healthy, balanced diet that does include fish (which I do), but fish is expensive and can be unsafe, depending on where it's caught, etc. Give these a try!

This fish oil is supposed to be the "higher" quality fish oil being mollecularly distilled at "suposedly" lower temperature, fewer chemicals during processing. Advertised as being free of lead , mercury, heavy metal, dioxins, PCB, etc. Supposely high quality from clean water? Sadly, I broke out severely taking these fishy oil. I might be allergic to fish oil? But I have no problem what so ever eating fish, shellfish, seafoods, shrimps, sushi, etc. I am not a fish oil business owner, an expert on fish oil, nor am I into multilevel marketing on fish oil. I cannot in my right conscience advocate something that caused severe breakout for me, especially for someone who is acne prone. That's just cruel. Although I am aware of the many benefits fish oil have on health, according to cyber articles, I can only share my own personal experience and not the experience of others. I am not a Fish Worhsipper that see it as something that can do no wrong. Nor will I do hand stand jumping up and down on the band wagon cheerleading rah rah rah when I get hit by a brick wall. The oil just does not work out for me. i am giving it to my dog instead. Maybe it might help her with her eczema? I am still waiting for that result. Her fur is so thick, I can't even tell if the dermatitis is still there are not. She is still doing the itchy and scratchy show. Maybe it's fleas? who knows. I will not take any more fish oil. Here are some informations on the pro and cons of fish oils:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_oilIf you are planning to take fish oil make sure your brand is safe from toxin.
