I discovered the Lipstick Queen line last year, my first purchase was medieval and I was impressed enough to try more products from the line. I now own saint rouge, saint rose, saint red and sinner red. I prefer the saint line, which is moisturizing, long lasting for a sheer lipstick, unscented and reasonably priced. Saints are more pigmented compared to medieval yet slightly less pigmented than my Nars semi sheers (Nars semi sheers vary in pigmentation, I have gipsy, flamenco, and manhunt).
I'm not sure how to describe the color, it's not a true red to me. I think of the color as a somewhat bright Summer red. Best way to describe the color is a poppy red. Translucent, vibrant, slightly warm red that has a touch of pink in it. For reference, it's similar to Nars manhunt only slightly less pink and more red.

For my first red, I was looking for a low-maint, idiot-proof product. Lipstick Queen definitely delivered! The texture is emollient and forgiving of poor lipcare habits, the pigmentation perfect - luminous and noticeably stained, not too intimidating for a red virgin. Only nitpick is the tone of color, which goes a bit fucshia on me instead of pulling true red, which makes for awkward coloring around the edges of my lips.

Ok, I used to think if I kept trying with pencils and lipstick and lipgloss, I'd somehow find the "perfect" red lip for me (med asian - not yellow, not pink- just plain med). I included medieval in a barney's buying spree recently and loved it, but was sad at how it wore away too fast (as a balm, its supposed to). So my objective was to find the "lipstick" version of the same color. All the "reds" I tried were either too brown or too clowny. Saint Red is pretty perfect. Just using it without a pencil it gives me a pretty red lip - that are not over the top. It is like the reviewer below said, like you just ate a popcicle, but in a good way it brightens up your face.
I also bought rouge sinner and to my shock, it too gives me a nice red lip but in a different way. I realize now that there are many ways to a nice red lip, depending on what it is you want/what you are wearing/ event, etc. How wonderful - choices and options. Keep up the good work Lipstick Queen!

A lovely, basic shade that In my opinion is a must-have...in fact, this is my new HG lipstick *brand*! Both the texture (moisturizing like a balm, but with longer-lasting color) and lack of scent for this product are excellent. (I am not interested in smelling like a strawberry or a vanilla cookie). I also like the packaging (I have carried the tube with me everywhere, and it still looks brand new). The best part of course is the color: a flattering true red in the tube, as the name suggests. (Actually, my lips have a lot of natural pigment so this one looks a *bit* like a dark fuchsia on me). This color gives me the perfect "just ate a cherry popsicle" look. I get compliments on Saint Red every time I wear it, and also own Saint Coral, Saint Nude, Saint Wine, and Saint Rust. All have proven superior lipsticks, and have led me to ignore even my beloved lip glosses. Infinitely wearable, these lipsticks are worth every last penny.

I have been wanting to try Lipstick Queen products for quite awhile. However, I live in KY and I refuse to pay shipping costs upward of $6 for a lipstick. Barney's came to the rescue in this situation though, offering free shipping during the holidays. I used the opportunity to buy this product along with Medieval (I would have bought 1 or 2 more things, but the website doesn't carry the full range). When I finally got them, I immediately ripped open the box and applied Red Saint first. I agree with other reviewers that the plastic container is kind of cheesy, but I do love the card inside with the artwork and lettering. For reference, I am NW15 with light pink lips that turn everything pink. I patted some powder on my lips and applied this without lipliner. I squealed with delight as I love the color and it wasn't pink on me! Also, since my lips aren't very pigmented, it was not as sheer as I expected, which I consider somewhat of a good thing. The l/s itself was creamy and felt very good on. I didn't notice any smell. The staying power isn't the greatest, but still pretty good. It wears off rather evenly so that is nice. This is a pretty bright true neutral red-if your lips are pigmented or you are used to wearing bright l/s, then it won't be as much of a shock as it was to me. The finish isn't matte nor glossy, just a nice, creamy finish. I did think it complemented my complexion and warmed up my skin. I am debating ordering more from this line, as I really like Medieval as well. Overall, if you're a l/s aficionado, definitely give this line and this color a try!

I was extremely disappointed by this product. Space NK here in England know how to sell their cult brands, and I was hoodwinked by the promise of a very special sheer red. Well, I found it to be nothing special and considering how much it costs I expected SPECIAL!!! I am a connaisseur of red lipsticks, both sheer and more richly pigmented, and for a sheer red I found the colour of this to be unacceptably dull and lacking in oomph. The texture is decent, it's lasting power was average for a red and the packaging is nice (agree with other reviewers though about the kind of cheesy plastic) - but if you are looking for a good sheer red, save yourself some money and instead buy L'Oreal Colour Riche Star Secrets Lipcolour - Penelope's Red (Penelope Cruz signature colour). It is a much better sheer red lipstick at less than half the price.

I agree with the below poster. Both the concept and execution of this line make it extremely tempting and fun. Saint Red is a sheer red without a lot of pigment, and also without a lot of moisture. This makes it nice because even though it is sheer it lasts a long time. NOT a glossy sheer. I personally love the art deco/art nouveau packaging, it may be a little drugstore-ish in the sense that it comes in plastic, but the cardboard backing is just beautiful. I saved mine. The god tube is lovely and luxurious. I have pics of this im my profile.

I love the concept behind this line, with Saints being moist and translucent and Sinners being more opaque/matte. I got Saint Red which is a vibrant, true red - not too blue but def not orangey. I got 3 complements in the space of 10 minutes and that rarely happens! I am not sure how I feel about the packaging which is a gold tube that is encased in a plastic package when purchased - kinda a weird drugstore type of package but it's fun. I wish the line was ALL variations on red but the other colors are wearable pinks, rust, and plums.
