Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash Mask = SPOTS, NO MORE!
- Can be used as a leave-on mask or quick cleansing wash.
- With the help of facial/makeup removing wipes beforehand, this mask will effectively cleanse away any remaining dirt or makeup on the face and prevent spots/pimples from appearing.
- Leaves your skin feeling cool, fresh and clean.
- Friendly to the skin, it doesn't dry mine out (I have normal/combination).
- 150ml, this product has lasted me for about 6-7 months.
- Very affordable.
Side Note:
I would recommend others not to solely rely on just this product in your cleansing routine. Continue using facial wipes to remove dirt and makeup, and then apply the Neutrogena mask afterwards to further cleanse away any traces that still remains on your face. Make sure to use moisturising cream too!

Sorry but this stuff really sucks I'm not a fan of neutrogena skin care as they always break me out I have dry sensitive skin easily prone to breakouts this one was no exception so in the bin it goes.

I started using this as a wash 2 years back. I don't use it consistently because I would use another product to try from time to time. Anyway, it helped reduce the number of acne I had and kind of cleared my face (though I still got scars) but it didn't help me prevent to breakout. Last month, I started using it as a mask every other night. It made my face softer but it dried my face so much...so I got more acne now. I stopped using it then.

I have dry skin and this didn`t help me at all. Only made my skin drier and drier by day and more spots and comedones started to appear, and since my face was so dry I couldn`t pop those and I had to go to the skin doc, who also said that I should not definitely use those products that dry skin, cause drier the skin is, spots and comedones go deeper and deeper and it really hard to get rid of them. At start actually it cleared my face but yeah.. didn`t turn out so well

I'm really enjoying this product. I've just finished up my first tube and now I'm on my second. I've never done that before with any cleanser, so that tells you just how much I like it. By finishing the tube I've given it a fair trial and for me, it really works. I have oily skin that's also sensitive but this stuff hasn't irritated it at all. I found the texture to be rather odd at first. It has the same consistency as toothpaste, but I soon got used to it. It doesn't lather which I think plays a big part in the lack of irritation on my fussy skin. You can tell there's menthol in the ingredients due to the slightly cooling sensation it gives when applied, but I don't seem to have issues with that. It's nice and refreshing in the morning and likewise at night.
As a mask I've found it to be very effective. It helps bring impurities to the surface, while also helping to dry out any existing spots. I can honestly say I've seen a decrease in the amount of spots and blemishes I've had since using this product.
I'm giving it a '2' for the price as it's around the £3 - £4 mark depending on where you go. As for the packaging I'm giving it a '5' as I like the tube with the flip top - nothing fancy, but does the job perfectly. I'd definitely buy this product again. I'm even thinking about chucking out all my old cleansers that had something wrong with them and just sticking to this. Until my skin requirements change, I'll keep on using it.

Initially I really loved this product, it gave a great fresh feeling as a cleanser. But now I've found that every time I've used it I get these red little bumps on my forehead that look like a heat rash!! The skin all around that area is really dry and I think it must be the acid or something in the product that is making me have this allergic reaction. Quite disappointed because other Neutrogena products have worked great on me :( I don't recommend this product if you have highly sensitive skin or very dry skin!!

This product is great for me to use on my t-zone as that is my problematic area. To use it as a wash i only use it on my nose and forehead because they are oily and the product is quite drying and tightening, so there is no need to use it on dryer areas. As a mask i enjoy using it once a week, it applys nicely however like many masks its sometimes difficult to wash off. I find that this product does make a difference in my spots and it also makes my skin less oily(only for an hour or so after use but its an extra bonus, right:D?). It hasn't brought me out in any rashes or more spots, i will continue buying the product and reccomend it to oily/combination/acne prone skin!:)

Initally this did WONDERS for my skin. Cleared it up as good as possible and provided a good "two in one" use. However, latterly it's caused my skin added problems. It's VERY drying. I don't have particularly dry skin but this made me flake and I noticed crusty dead skin around my nose and occasionally on my cheeks. It also left me feeling very tight. Initally I thought this was beneficial as it was obviously working on my spots. Now, it just feels and looks terrible. What I thought was a star item is no more, I'm afraid. If anyone knows how to sort my skin, message me!

REALLY WORKS!!!!!!!!!!
First of all, I am a product junky and this product is amazing! the reason for writing the review is because the 2 in 1 cleanser masque is pretty much EXACTLY the SAME as the DERMALOGICA sebum clearing masque, the two main ingredients are the same in both, BENTONITE clay-( known for swelling and sponging impurities from the skin by producing a subtle electrical charge) and SALICYLIC acid ( exfoliates dead skin cells and clears congested follicles to minimize development of future comedones and breakouts) the next main ingredient in the dermalogica mask are menthol derivatives, also pretty much the same as the neutrogina version (they give that lovely scent and gentle cooling sensation which is exactly the same as the scent in the 2 in 1 cleanser.
So really the main thing i want to mention is the price difference between these products. The Dermalogica sebum clearing masque costs a moderate amount £22-£30 for a 75ml tube. The 2 in 1 masque and cleanser just £3.70 for 150ml- thats double the Dermalogica and at like 10% of the price! I bought mine from Asda on sale for like £2!
Considering these products are almost exactly the same-- and yes i was an avid user of the dermalogica masque(have been through 4 tubes so far) - so i feel bad for writing this review but honestly- save your money because this masque is a must buy, especially if the sebum clearing mask works for you, plus you may want to take into consideration that its one of dermalogicas best selling products... YES it works but the neutrogina version works just as well- and it costs so much less!

Not very impressed. Does little to prevent acne and cleanses oil like an average oil cleanser (ie fairly mildly). It is a horror at rinsing clean which forces me to use toner every time. The amount of times I found clay residue around my hairline, grr! Hate the toothpaste texture. Never really used it as a mask as I expect a decent cleanser to prevent me from needing a deep clean. Didn't see any difference using it as a mask as to using it as a cleanser. Disappointing...

I have to say that this product has become an essential to my daily routine. It's one of the few cleansers that doesn't make my skin raw and itchy and it really does get off every bit of make up. The clay is a massive bonus as well, and my skin reacts wonderfully to it. This, plus Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, Nivea Soft Moisturizer, honey and QVs Daily Moisturizer have made life, and understanding my skin, a lot easier!

Overall- it's a decent product. It's nice and mild as a cream cleanser- however- I am not sure what is the mask supposed to do.
When I use this product at the end of the day to wash off makeup and dirt it works very well and leaves the skin clear and bright.
When I use this as a mask, I am not sure I see any difference at all and I am unsure as to what it's supposed to do. It definitely does not deep clean my pores. However, it does bring the gunk inside my pores a little closer to the surface so it can be fairly easily exfoliated. I finish the mask treatment with the Clinique exfoliating scrub to cleanse the pores.

If you have a Very Sensitive Skin prone to Acne - that's cleanser is for YOU!!! I spent so much money on more expensive stuff, but more expensive cleansers for Acne Prone Sensitive Skin were too strong and contained very harsh ingredients which made my already sensitive skin much worse. For example, I tried Clinique's Anti-Blemish Solutions Set - Benzol Peroxide made my skin red, hyper-sensitive and very irritated.
Neutrogena's Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash Mask is wonderful, it contains Salicylic Acid, but just enough not to irritate my hyper-sensitive skin, I massage this cleanser into my face with a soft cotton pad for a minute or so while taking a shower, trying to clear up my pores (especially on my T-Zone) and massage the product into my face for better results. I noticed that after massaging it into my face rather than simply washing it off quickly, my skin brightens up, it gets silky smooth, very fresh, very clean, very soft and pleasant to touch, to my surprise the cleanser does not irritate my sensitive skin at all, it gives me a very fresh feeling (somewhat like washing my face with mint water), my breakouts, which I usually have around my chin during summer disappeared in a matter of days, the pores got smaller, tighter, cleaner, I forgot about blackheads (and whiteheads). Overall, it is a wonderful cleanser, soft, gentle but very effective!!! I also a big fan of gentle Avene Cleansers, but in summer months Avene cleansers are not effective against pimples and blackheads, so I am sticking to Avene in winter months. When my face is extremely oily and dirty (like after the gym work-out or dancing all night in full make-up) I leave Neutrogena's Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash Mask for 10-15 minutes on my clean face, it penetrates deep into the pores, white clay in it cleans all the dirt and salicylic acid prevents any breakouts you might have after a crazy night out. Overall, I could not find any other cleanser that is so SAFE, GENTLE and EFFECTIVE!!! Thank you Neutrogena!!! I am a big fan ^^

Neutrogena is without a doubt the best supermarket/drugstore brand for acne prone skin. I bought this on a whim because it was cheap and I was breaking out, and I am so surprised by what it has done for me. I have moderately oily skin and use this once a day or once every second day as it is fairly drying. For the other cleansing I use the deep clean cream cleanser (a very under-rated product! try it with a muslin cloth and it's amazing). The clay and bentonite just really help to dry up and take down the swelling in pimples, but the most surprising and unexpected thing about this cleanser is how much it brightens my complexion. I don't use this product all the time, just when I can feel a break out coming on, or a couple of times a week for prevention, but it is an absolute must for mild acne sufferers and will always be in my skincare regime!
Also as a side note, I think a lot of people probably don't use cleansers properly. You must really massage all cleansers into the skin for a good 45 seconds or so. It isn't enough to slap it on and then wash it off with warm water. If you find that your cleanser is not performing to your expectations, try really massaging it well, removing it with a microfibre face cloth, rinsing with warm water and then splashing with cold water.. you will be surprised!

This is the best product I have used for my acne. I cannot live without it! It actually works! All the fine little lumps and bumps have disappeared. Works wonders for my skin, especially living in tropical areas.

I got this on a 2 for £5 offer at Tesco. I honestly wasn't expecting much but I just wanted a cheap cleanser with salicylic acid in it to help calm down my hormonal breakouts at the time. Anyway I was pleasantly suprised with it. I use it as a mask 2 times a week for 5 mins, add some water and then use my Clarisonic before rinsing it off. It leaves my skin feeling nice and clean but not stripped or dryed out at all (I have normal-combo skin). I like the creamy texture and the fact that even though it has spot combating ingredients, it doesn't make my skin feel dry and my skin feels nice and smooth after using it. The menthol in it leaves a slightly tingly feeling on my face sometimes but I don't notice it too much - I have sensitive skin and it hasn't irritated me. I also use it as a normal wash 2 or 3 times a week and it works great for that purpose too. I notice a reduction in my pimples when I use this, it gets rid of the redness and gradually clears small spots. Overall I'm very happy with it and will most likely repurchase!

I am a skin care junkie. I have tried so so so many cleansers on the market from spa brands to drug store brands and I can safely say that this one is my favourite so far. The reason I like this cleanser is because it is so refreshing for my skin and has a slight cooling effect during and when I have washed it off, and one of the biggest reasons is that it doesn't dry out my skin what so ever. Every single cleanser I have used has made my skin feel dry straight after use but this one is perfect. As far as getting rid of acne/spots I would not say it is a miracle product, however since using this the redness of some recent spot scars has gone down. All in all a surprisingly gentle yet effective cleanser for problem skin.
