Wow there is really no way to review this without making ignorant, old lady, "grandma," and "yenta" comments? I don't know if your grandma was a gossip, but please leave Yiddish outta reviews if ya aint got nothing nice to say!

The trick to wearing this and most other colored mascara is to apply this over black mascara. That said i love this product. Yes, this is lighter than what one would expect but this dries to a nice deep blue. Not navy, not sapphire, but rather deep blue. I'm over 35 and I wear mascara in colors other than black and dark brown. That said, this will enhance the whites of your eyes without looking like you found a Dior mascara in your m/u stash from 1985. Not that that mascara was awful back in the day, just that this is toned down without looking like Grandma's navy mascara she wears with frosty blue shadow while coffee klaatching with her yenta friends. Again, nothing wrong with that look, but again, it's not what will be achieved with this product. This does require more than 2 coats, it does not clump or flake off and this is simply a really nice product for the $6.95 I paid at my local Bed Bath and Beyond.

This is a nice mascara in terms of volume, brush, lack of clumps, but the color is slightly lighter than the tube, and that makes it a novelty product. I really like navy mascara/dark sapphire mascara, but this is more like periwinkle. Fine if you're under 35.
