STUNNING.This smells so exotic, not spicy at all but just unlike anything i have ever smelt before. It as a birthday gift and the compliments i get when i wear it are unreal. I'm a male and id say this is one of the unisex fragrances of the collection depending on what type of male you are. But then again i guess a certain type of male will go for a dior private blend (and no i dont mean gay)For £165 for 125 mil when Tom Ford charge £140 for 50 ml i think these are an absolute steal! I wouldn't bother with the huge bottles by the time you use them up the scent wont be as potent you'd be better off getting 2 different 125 ml bottles and having more choice. I'm going for gris montaigne next as that is also STUNNING.

Amber has always been my least favorite ingredient in fragrance, although at this point in my fragrance appreciation, I realize there are no "bad" notes. Just bad interpretations. Still, the treacly oriental numbers with boozy spicy notes and headache-inducing sillage carry bad associations and usually make me run for the exit. But not always.Ambre Nuit is a light amber, if you will. Lovers of the thick caramelly Ambre Sultan and its ilk need not stick around for this. The initial burst of bergamot and grapefruit anchor it in the realm of cologne, though this is no lightweight spritzer. There is a heft to its very beautiful construction that continues to develop. The rose is there, very soft and smokey, wafting in and out of a soft cloud of powder and benzoin. One of the reviewers spoke about Ambre Nuit as what Le Labo Rose 31 could have been, and there's some truth to it.The base has a gorgeous patchouli which was an added latecomer surprise in this fragrance. The overall effect is that of a very soft (not quiet or whimpy) sexy fragrance with good lasting power - so spritz wisely. Sillage is definitely present, which means this is no office-appropriate scent. If Musc Ravageur intrigued you but did not want to play nice on your skin, if the usual cumin or spice-fest of ambers turns you off, or if many ambers feel too in-your-face animalic, you may really love this one. It's also very reasonably priced, especially in the new smaller 125mL bottles. Highly recommended.

What a find! I wouldn't have guessed this was a cologne for man, it's so warm and sophisiticated that could suit everyone.Ambre Nuit is the fourth frag in Diorís collection of colognes for men. (the others being Eau Noire, Bois díArgent and Cologne Blanche). Ambre Nuit is an oriental with a rose note and a warm dry-down. It opens with bergamot, pink pepper. The spicy heart is sweetened with a floral note. Then the fragrance goes more oriental: amber, woody, balsamy and slightly gourmand.Absolutely stunning, cozy and sexy; drydowns as a powdery skinscent. A very wearable amber (not the cloying sweet ones!) that I totally recommend!_____________________Notes as per Osmoz:top note: Pink Pepper, Bergamotmiddle note: Spices, Turkish Rose, Spicesbase note: Amber, Balsamy Notes, Cedar, Patchouli, Gaiac Wood
