Finally found my HG foundation after 5 years!
For any reference, i'm a NC15-20. North east asian with super chalky white skin combined with a yellow undertone. I'm between the first color in any foundation line and the second color. I can never find a color that matches well + any foundation i've tried had too much a powdery finish or orangey hue. So i gave up on foundation and went straight to bb creams. So far, the best match (tho not so great) would be Missha M perfect #21. Though, its super dewy, too pinkish and greyish and can look REALLY cakey when my skin is breaking out.
THIS FOUNDATION LITERALLY MATCHES EVERYTHING I WOULD WANT IN A PERFECT FOUNDATION!
First, I use it in Vanilla(002) and the color match is perfect. Second, the texture and the finish is gorgeous and natural at the same time. There is absolutely no noticeable sparkle unlike other reviews claimed whatsoever. It is not too matte (hence, does not look fake) and not too dewy (does not look greasy or shiny or emphasize flaws).
It covers beautifully and has a medium coverage. When applied to spots with a concealer brush, the coverage becomes medium-full and appears even more natural. It applies on very sheer, with awesome coverage and adheres to skin. This is something i have never experienced with any foundation or bb cream before. Everything would literally melt off my face sometime during the day although i don't have oily skin. When i touch my face at night, all of them would just slide away. This foundation would adhere to ur skin and almost feels like your second skin. It does not melt off or appears to be 'floating' on your skin. If that makes any sense. This makes it the perfect foundation for summer. I wore it today and it was around 26 degrees outside. Although i was slightly sweating, my foundation did not move an inch.
I have yet to try whether it's too dry for winter, it might be but with any good primer or moisturizer under it, i think it's texture will be natural enough to not dry the heck out of my skin.
It has one thing that i would want to improve. I use this foundation daily with the matching concealer: photoready in 002. On its on, the concealer is my HG concealer too. Its super creamy and matches me perfectly. But, the concealer seems to be too drying when applied on my blemishes over this foundation. This emphasizes my blemishes. I can only skip concealer and apply powder instead ( yes even powder seems less drying). Great thing the foundation itself has enough coverage to cover 90% of blemishes.
Overall, definitely best foundation i've tried and would keep repurchasing until i come across anything better. I doubt that :)

This was my go-to foundation for a long time ...that is before I discovered Hello Flawless by Benefit. Anyway, this has nice coverage for daily use. I found a good color to match my skin (Nude) that worked well for me.

I am not a fan of this. I tried in 02 vanilla and it was very sheer and too glittery and melted off my face in an hour. you cant build up the coverage either. Its nice that it comes with a pump, that is all.

I always bought revlon colourstay foundation for dry skin. I was the colour buff . But this week I decided to go for something different so I picked up revlon photo ready in vanilla.
My first impression of the product is it paler. At first I thought I looked like a ghost but after having a good look it wasn't that bad but it is still on the paler side .
The product is quite matt. I would say just as matt as colourstay.
It gives ok coverage but you would still need your concealer with this foundation.
Around my nose is oily and very shiny . I found this product sort of sat on my nose and didnt blend.
I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about this one, but in my opionon get colourstay if your thinking of purchasing this foundation.

It has great coverage and does look amazing in photos so it lives up to its claims, but for me it breaks me out if i wear it for long periods of time so I only use it on special occasions. Everyone complains about the glitter but it's not an issue for me. I have seen glitter on other people's faces but I don't find it ugly or distracting so I don't care. The bottle is bulky however. The cap of it always seems to fall off in my makeup bag but luckily no foundation gets squeezed out accidentally. I like the pump and all but it is quite big. I think revlon can slim down the packaging and it would be better. I find it goes on pale at first but oxidized to match your skin tone later or that's just me. It looks amazing in photos for me so I'll keep using it. It's a little thick but i'm okay with it for the good coverage and amazing photo results

I really love this foundation. It's light on the skin, doesn't look cakey but it still has awesome coverage. I wear 003 sand and it's the best color match I have found with any foundation. It's yellow based which is perfect for me. I love the packaging too and definitely would repurchase. I didn't give it 5 stars as there is fine shimmer in it which can really only be detected in sun light. It doesn't bother me though, and doesn't stop me from wearing it.

(I had already once reviewed PhotoReady, but I'm writing this review over as I've worn it more and have more thoughts. So here's take 2)
I was super excited to try PhotoReady. I've never tried a Revlon foundation, but they get a lot of good reviews, and Photoready was considered a MUFE HD dupe. The reason I went with Photoready was it was much newer than ColorStay, I don't want a very matte finish, and the packaging looked better.

PROS: The pump is so good. There is no waste with it because you can easily control the amount you want. The packaging isn't heavy, and it seems like the pump can be removed so you can stick other things in it (it does not want to come off easily, but I think it comes off - won't try now since foundation will fly everywhere). On the nice areas of my face, PhotoReady simply looks like skin. It looks incredible in flash photography too - I cannot detect it at all.

CONS: Formula grabs onto lines and bad texture, doesn't feel moisturizing. Thinner, semi runny formula. Coming from Studio Sculpt, it's a bit shocking. Can appear VERY dewy in some light and make skin texture look worse than it is (shine "sharpening" your flaws).

OTHER: The coverage of PhotoReady is light to medium. This is not full coverage at all. I'm saying this because some of the reviewers are claiming this is full and it just isn't. My minor dark circles are visible as well as some pigmentation areas, therefore I know it's not full coverage. If you have nice skin to start with, it may look full because the skin is so even, but that's deceiving you. I use 1.5-2 pumps for medium coverage, 1 is light. Gives a "medium" dewy finish. In my Ottlite mirror, before setting, it looks dreadful, but in other light it looks damn good, though a bit fake.

OTHER 1: 002 Vanilla is a perfect match for my skin (it's light enough and has the right tone), BUT it oxidizes before I even get a chance to set it. (DISCLAIMER: A lot of stuff oxidizes on my skin + CeraVe AM is heavy - could either culprit, so take with grain of salt). Blending away and it's already shifted to a more saturated or slightly darker color. I know some foundations "adjust" to skin, but this too much. Once it changes it's not a not a good match for pale skin at all either IMO because it fails my neck test. I have a super pale neck and this is noticeable from when I blend down to it. If you have light (not pale) skin with a bit of color, then it will be ok but just white pale, no, it will not work (unless it doesn't change). glamstep's review of the PhotoReady Concealer in Light compares it to a bunch of other things, like NC20, and the Light concealer is about the same as Vanilla. You can see that here: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/sreview.asp/itemid=140094/rid=2165510/ And if it fully oxidizes, it's nothing "Vanilla" at all. It's redder and darker, just ridiculous. I also have a theory that the color is only true when the reflective particles are working (ie have enough light so as to reflect off them) - so it's claim of "airbrushed perfection any light" is 100% false. In some light the color will appear worse than it actually could have been.

OTHER 2: The "glitter" in PhotoReady needs it's own section. I read MANY reviews to draw my own conclusion about it and ended up with it wasn't really a big deal. That's partially true. It's not glitter though, when I think of glitter I think of super chunky rainbow particles. PhotoReady has smallish (yet noticeable) shimmer instead. In the bottle I only see green and pink shimmer (in color 002 Vanilla) and there is a TON OF IT. Yet, if I tilt the bottle ever so slightly, they all disappear. The shimmer is most noticeable at certain angles to light sources, like ones promoting shine/hot spots, looking at the sun (or just being outdoors in bright sunlight). It's not green or pink though in real life, it's soft white. One thing I've learned is to always shake the bottle well so there isn't a bunch of shimmer settling and also, when I pump this on my hand, I see ZERO glitter at all, even in the odd angles I mentioned it. Then when I've used it all, my hand is literally PURE SHIMMER. So I think if you use a light layer or overly blend you could be promoting the visibility of the shimmer on your face - it needs enough pigment to blend in disappear with.

OVERALL: This was mostly a disappointment. I would say this foundation would fit those with really good skin texture (or primed 24/7 - probably why they came out with the PhotoReady primers as well) who are slightly dry to normal who want a dewy finish. The shimmer... sometimes you can see it, other times you can't. It is COMPLETELY dependent on the environment. It disappears a lot when powdered but I don't want to go outside with this for fear or glimmering. This stuff looks plain incredible in photography however... I guess it somewhat did live up to the PhotoReady name in that sense (I don't get pictures taken though). I also really wonder how 001 Ivory would be. It looked really pink in the store. I've searched what feels like the entire internet for a comparison swatch but have found NOTHING. And Revlon should start selling EMPTY PhotoReady containers with twist tops... I would buy extras to put other foundations in. They are that good!

Very pretty foundation except for the fact that I dont want to be covered in glitter all day. I can only wear this when its mixed half/half with another foundation. I mix this with Clarins Skin Illusion and I can maybe get 7 hours out of this before my face starts to itch. I really wanted to like this...

I love this product. It works so well for my oily skin. I break out really easily, So I have sensitive skin. I use this as a base and it has a sort of dewy look but it looks really good and covers a lot! A lot of people don't like the "sparkle" that it has in it, but I love it! It just makes it look better. It also lasts for quite a bit. I bought mine a couple months ago and it's barely half empty! I use a foundation brush to dab it on my face, then I use a stipple brush to blend it in, and so far it has worked so well!

i really like this for my very sensitive and very dry skin (i have eczema as well)
the only thing is the "sparkle" but it isn't too extreme for me and i can usually cover it with a little pressed powder.
i also bought a shade that is a tad too dark so i'd probably adore this if i had the right color!
the pump is also a very good plus!

This foundation did not make the cut for me. I first tried it a year or so ago and I enjoyed it the first few applications. The packaging is nice (love pump bottles), and the consistency is very fluid and gives a smooth application. Color selection is pretty good (not good as Revlon Colorstay), but overall Revlon's foundation shades work well for my skin tone so I am naturally drawn to their foundations.
I would say the coverage of this foundation is medium, buildable BUT it does not have good wearing power. It fades throughout the day, exposing scars and acne if you do not have a top caliber concealer over the top. It get's shiny also, and does that super annoying liquid foundation separation thing, where it makes part of your complexion separated and flaky (for me the nose area) and makes it VERY obvious you are wearing foundation. I hate that. If a foundation does that on my skin I automatically refuse to repurchase it.
If you are choosing a drugstore foundation, the choice is easy: Revlon Colorstay without a doubt. It's the only drugstore foundation I've tried that is compreable to a HE foundation (besides Boots- I like that also).
Otherwise, I am a HE foundation wearing gal, face base products are worth the extra money imo.

This stuff looked great going on and gave me great coverage. But it would start to dry my skin after awhile. And then the horrible breakouts started on day 3. I have never had a product break me out like this. I gave it to a friend and would not buy again.

This is one of the best foundations I have tried. I love the bottle and shades, it is also easy to apply it and it stays on all day long.
I have been using this foundation in the past, then took a break and used my first choice Revlon Colorstay (this one stays on longer and better) but now decided to give this foundation 2nd try.
I love the way this foundation looks - so natural and smooth, it feels like there is no foundations on my skin at all. The main thing, to find a perfect shade, mine is 004 Nude at the moment but I have been using 005 during summer.

Where have you been all my life, Revlon PhotoReady Makeup in Nude 004?! This is the best foundation I've ever used on my acne-prone, super sensitive skin. It gives wonderful coverage and a neutral base, which is great for my yellow undertones, a very hard thing to find. I use Nude, as Shell was a little too light on me, but it might be perfect for those of you with very fair skin. I have never noticed sparkles or a shimmer...it just gives a truly beautiful softness to your skin and covers imperfections. It stays on all day, doesn't get oily, stays put over moisturizer, and never oxidizes or turns that weird orange that some foundations do. The SPF 20 is a big plus and is not the sunscreens that I usually have a reaction to. You can usually find coupons for it at Ulta and CVS, which takes it down to about $8/bottle. Worth every penny!

I have very fair, acne prone skin therefore it is rare for me to find a foundation that is both light enough and provides good coverage but this really does! A lot of people complain about the sparkles but I actually really like them. Used with a foundation brush it blends in so well however without it can be quite patchy. It also doesn't make me break out unlike most foundations.

I've used every Mac foundation... I've used Makeup forevers foundation...I've used Chanels foundation Perfection Lumiere.. I've also used Revlon Colorstay foundation
This is by far MY favorite foundation aside from its little sparkles!
I don't have oily skin nor do I have super dry skin, so I consider my skin to be normal. However I am acne prone... And this foundation def. does not make me break out. It's gives a nice finish... and covers to about a medium-full coverage on my skin that has scars.
For me this foundation works, so I deff recommend for someone who is looking for a reasonable priced foundation :)

I have very fair skin and got this product in shade 100 vanilla, its an excellent match for my skin almost undetectable.....apart from the sparkles!
The coverage id say is about medium
Okay the sparkles:
They're annoying! when i do my makeup with my fingers i feel like tinkerbell when im done but on the face they are not too bad, i think im just self conscious, my friends say they cant tell at all only when in direct sunlight they can tell a little bit.
It does stick to dry patches a little bit but not too much, its okay
Overall a pretty good foundation but definitely not worth the price in Australia (around $36) id recommend buying from the US

Normally, my foundation of choice is the Nyx HD Studio Foundation in #05, but I was really tempted to pick up Revlon Photoready after all the raves and positive reviews I got from friends and experts. I picked it up in the shade Cool Beige from my local Walmart for 14.99, which I guess is not too bad since some stores are selling it for over 20 bucks. Unfortunately, as it turns out, this foundation isn’t really my cup of tea.
First off, I just wanna say, I love the packaging – especially the pump dispenser. The foundation itself, is nice and creamy. I applied it with a stipple brush, and it’s both easily blendable and buildable. One thing I noticed with my skin is that, when I set this foundation (with a translucent powder) I get a nice dewey finish, however, a couple of hours later, my face ends up looking cakey, tight and oily. My biggest gripe with this product is the shimmery particles in the foundation. I have combination skin, and my T-zome tends to get a bit oily sometimes. The shimmer in this product doesn’t help that problem at all. Not only does it make my T-zone super shiny, it also excentuated my pores. And it took me forever to get that shimmery shit off my face. Since I’m not planning on auditioning for a part in the Twilight movies, I’m just gonna stay away from this foundation. I don't think I'll be re-purchasing this anytime soon. If you really want a nice drugstore brand foundation, I’d go for the Maybelline 24HR SuperStay Makeup. It’s thick, creamy, it provide great coverage, and above all, it’s not weird and shimmery – only con is that it doesn’t have a pump dispenser.

I really adore this Foundation a little bit goes a far way and it fits very well into my routine. This liquid foundation offers meduim coverage at the most, disfuses MINOR imperfections and I'm pleased to say the sparkle in this foundation is not overwhelming...visible in natural sunlight but not screaming. (Be careful not to use alot of bronzer containing glitter/shimmer with this, it gets a bit much).
It blends very well and doesnt dry that fast , which make it ideal to alter if desired (I give it 2min before i set it). I have an older friend who tried this, it doesnt set in wrinkles!! Which older ladies might benefit from!!
This does offer a rather flattering glow (I have dry-ish skin so wouldnt recommend this for girls with oily-ish skin, the glow, sparkles and skin combo might not work well) and pairs really really well with Loreal Infallible Creamy Powder foundation (buy this in a darker shade, because these foundations are much lighter then applied for some reason I use Gloden Beige which is one shade too light i guess)
Cons:
DON"T use this in combination with Retin A or any other facial stripper, WILL get red and then WILL get flaky if you have dry skin!!!
I dont find this product to last more that 5-9 hours at the most which sucks..... (Doesnt disappear at all but touch ups are required)

This product does not offer MUCH(it helps a bit..) support for uneven skin tone - if you do have an uneven skin tones, it is possible to layer this foundation...would recommend a primer prior application.

I will be buying this again!!
