I feel bad giving this one only one lippie when I don't know what real violets smell like (I only know what violet candy smells/tastes like), so I have no idea if it's as true to life as most Demeter's, but to me it smells like powdery baby wipes and rubbing alcohol, but that coming from the scent it's self and not from the alcohol thats in it. Maybe this will smell different to me if I get to sniff a real violet(and I'll up date this if I do) but for now I don't like it, and I wouldn't buy it again.

Subtle, sweet and innocent. Demeter violet has a soft touch, and a powdery finish. I reccommend mixing this lovely scent with other Demeters to add some depth to your pick-me-ups. Alone it's just a violet whisper on the skin.

Not as sweet as VdP, not as green as Caron's VP. The violet is a bit dry, a bit woody. Lasting power is not great. It's actually quite ok, but there are violet scents out there that I like better.

i was hoping for a violet fragrance that can hold a candle to my fave violet scent, calypso st. barths calypso violette. it does smells very similar.
demeter violet is very simple and dead on. its not sweet like violet candy, but it does have a bit of sweetness mixed with a soapy scent that rounds it out and makes for a soothing and pleasant violet scent.
its a bit weak in comparison to other demeters, but the lasting power is decent.

It smells like rubbing alcohol when I first spray it on--and nothing else. But in a couple of minutes the scent emerges. And it smells just like Diesel Plus Plus Feminine on me.

I can barely smell anything when I use this at all. Seems nice and different from your usual violets but like all Demeters it smells predominantly like alcohol. This is another line which I cannot understand the rage over.

A slightly woodsy/ashy, slightly green violet. In the beginning, almost a twin of Serge Lutens' Bois de Violette, but a bit more on the cinnamony/smouldering side. It's qutie lovely, but unfortunately, 5 1/2 minutes later, it fades to nothing.
