I think this is a love it or hate it type of product. I really couldn't live with out this. I have long hair that I cannot wash every day. Without this, I'd have a greasy, stinky, oily mess all the time. This product MAKES my hair. It adds volume and texture, keeps it fresh looking and even makes it smell nice. My hair is actually BETTER a day after washing with some of this powder sprinkled in, as opposed to freshly washed. They used to carry it at Sephora but no longer do, but I just order it online now. I hope they never discontinue it. It's seriously my best kept secret. I love it! HOLY GRAIL

Just enough fragrance. Remember the rule ladies: If he can smell you, you're wearing too much.

I love this product because it allows me not only to get away with not washing for a day (I've got pretty oily hair) but it also is a great styling tool for clean hair. It takes away the oiliness and adds volume and lift. I like the packaging because it's easy to squirt on the spray just where you want it. Plus, it smells amazing!
The only thing that would improve it is if it came in colors to match your hair; the powder is white so if you accidentally put too much on you have to brush it through until it's not white.

This is a staple product for me. I bought this because I have thick hair that is a hassle to wash every day. Also Creme Bouquet is my very favorite scent, and Stila doesn't make the perfume any more, just the hair refresher :( It does give your hair volume and takes away the greasiness. The scent helps if you have cigarette smoke/strong food smells in your hair and don't have time for a shower. It's also great when you're camping. I have both the Creme Bouquet and the Jade Blossom scents and have noticed the Creme Bouquet lasts longer. My only complaint is that it's over priced - I thought for $28 I would be receiving a bigger bottle. But it does last a very long time (I've now had the same bottle for at least two years and still have more than half left), because you don't need to use much. I would repurchase this.

Smells nice, lasts all day and it really does refresh your hair (only if you can distribute it evenly on every part of your hair/scalp). It would be more effective if it came in a spray can. Even though the bottle is pretty small for the price but it lasts pretty long (I use it daily).

I have been using Khlorane and Baptiste spray dry shampoos for several years now, and they both work great. The only gripe I had was that I go through the bottles so fast (they have like nothing in them, I feel its like when you open a bag of chips and half the bag is just air) and would routinely go to use it in the morning and find the can empty or with only a teeny bit left. Even when I would buy and stockpile 4 or 5 bottles at a time, I still burned through it, using it about 4-5 days a week. I have very long, thick hair that only needs to be washed about 2x a week...if I wash it too often it gets frizzy and dry.
I decided to try this because I thought it would be longer lasting, and so far I seem to be right. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and dont seem to have made much of a dent in the amount. Big pro- I LOVE the smell! Especially since Baptiste smells like Lemon Pledge. This is important because hair holds fragrance the longest. The only cons are that the application is a little trickier, it does leave a gray tinge to the hair (the sprays brush through invisibly, unless you go way overboard with application), and it leaves a little "grip" to the hair, which is a pro if you are styling it, but if you just let your hair hang naturally like I do most of the time, its a little annoying. So far, I am not bothered enough by the cons to go back to the sprays...eventhough this product costs more up front, it will save me a lot of money and hassle in the long run.

What is this ewww! Putting powder on hair just feels gross. I like the scent don't me wrong but my hair feels gross when I put this on. My hair gets really oily and this doesn't do anything for me.

I got this in a swap after reading the reviews, I had been about to buy some bumble & bumble hair powder but this looked like a better bet from the reviewers statements.
Pros - pretty bottle, lots of product, and it works. I don't take the time to perfect the application like some reviewers do, but it still makes a big difference on the days when I don't wash my hair. I have medium length fine & thick hair, and it brightens it up and gives it a ton of volume too. It takes me about 45 seconds to do a haphazard job and make me presentable for leaving the house when I think my hair isn't up to snuff.
Cons - it could have a better sifter sort of lid to make it easier to dispense, and although the fragrance is like a pleasant flowery baby powder, my husband can smell it in my hair when I wear it.
This bottle will probably last 2-3 years, and I will likely try Bumble before I repurchase it, but if it's not superior I will be buying this again. continued >>

I got this off of ebay, and I'm really impressed. My hair is really long so I try to avoid washing it as much as I can, but my hair definitely tends to go flat the evening of the day after I wash it. This stuff does a great job of getting rid of the dirty hair smell (which I can't stand) and giving me some lift at the crown of my head and around my face. I've tried releasing little puffs of powder around my scalp and while the puffs are really nice I don't feel like this method evenly distributes powder on the areas of my scalp where I need it. I prefer distributing it onto my hands and then working my hands through my hair, I find that this works the powder into my roots the best. Just don't expect this product to make your hair feel like you just washed it, it soaks up oil by coating your hair with starchy powder-that's why it's so effective, but it's going to make your hair feel a little starchy and crisp. It won't effect the way your hair feels if someone were to touch it if you concentrate it at the roots of the underlayers. Accordingly I think this stuff is a great tool for giving clean hair some grip for an updo. It's a little mattifying, but I haven't had any problems with ashiness in my dark warm brown hair. As far as scent, this smells really powdery in the bottle but in my hair it smells like a sugary vanilla floral with just a hint of powder scent. I think this is definitely worth trying, especially if you have long hair.

this is so much better than the oscar blandi dry shampoo and the B & B version. the cleverly designed little bottle dispenses the powder in these brilliant little clouds that just disappear into the hair. other basic powders (like baby powder) just sprinkle big messy clumps of powder into the roots and it only ends up looking dull and obvious. this is so much better in both quality and design. after a few attempts, i figured out how to get the perfect little wispy cloud of powder. you have to hold the bottle horizantally (about 1 to 2 inches above the scalp) with the little hole dispenser facing down and gently squeeze the bottle a few times. if you point the bottle straight down it won't come out properly, it will come out in those nasty aforementioned clumps. anyways, this really helped me cut down on washings so that now i can go every other day w/o shampooing. i have very long hair so that is ideal for me. and nicely enough, this powder doesn't dull my hair. it adds great body and volume. i like my hair better now the day after my shampoos, b/c with the help of this powder i get that messy, kittenish look that is very sexy. also...i love the smell! a must have for me! continued >>

I really like how this makes my hair smell, and the smell lasts for quite a long time. It also gives your hair a bit of volume like the other ladies have said, when you're looking a bit greasy at the roots. The one gripe I have is it makes my darkish brown hair look kinda grey and ashy where I put it on even after brushing and rubbing it in. That alone would keep me from repurchasing. If they ever came out with the same thing only darker colored I would repurchase. The smell is just so good!

I'm so happy to finally solve my 2nd-day-flat-greasy hair problem. Since I have very long hair, it's too time-consuming to wash my hair every day. I wash my hair only every other day and usually it gets flat the 2nd day. But the Stila hair powder completely solve the problem! It lifts roots, takes out grease and leaves hair w/ the nice cream bouquet scent. The powder does leave my hair slightly grey but it goes away in a few minutes. It is a quite expensive consider the major ingredient is corn starch, but will definitely purchase again since it works so well.

The only reason I would purchase this hair refresher again is because I love the refreshing scent. I have the Bumble and Bumble hair powder that is actually tinted brown for brunettes, which is a concept that I love. I never like brushing white powder through my dark brown hair. In the end, Creme Bouquet does a very good job of refreshing my hair when I do not feel like shampooing or after a workout, when I do not have time to shower (although I have to wait for my sweaty, wet hair to dry before applying the powder). It adds volume and gets rid of most of the oil and greasiness on my head. It is a bit expensive, but I do not use it every day, and only a few small shakes are needed. I still prefer the B&B simply b/c of the tint to the powder, but this powder smells fresh and yummy. continued >>

I have both the B&B Dry Shampoo and the Klorane spray version, and IMO, both are much better than the Stila product. I have dark hair, and the Stila Hair Refresher left it with a grayish cast even after I brushed it through. Also, it left my hair feeling the texture of stray and I didn't like the Creme Bouquet scent, either. It was an all-round disappointment for me and was returned to Gloss.com :-( I highly recommend either the B&B or Klorane products. continued >>

I finally managed to get my hands on this and I love it! Washing my hair everyday dries it out, and this helps get rid of the 'oily' look. I have to be careful since I have brown hair, I don't want to look like I'm graying, but this stuff is great!

Sneaky Stila. They've taken a basic fragranced cornstarch dusting powder, stuck it in the most basic of plastic bottles, and - the clever bit - slapped a fancy Stila label on it so they can charge you £20 for it. Apart from the outrageous price-value gap, it's actually not a bad product. It promises to refresh hair and add volume, and it delivers. You have to be careful not to overdo it, unless you're actually after that wiggy Dangerous Liaisons effect. But sparingly applied and carefully brushed out, it gets rid of that lank look from unwashed hair, and adds a hint of custardy-vanilla Crème Bouquet scent. The bottle is squeezy with a small nozzle opening, so you can puff directly into your roots if you're brave, or just tip a little into your palms then rub in. Great if you have coloured hair and don't want to overdo the washing, or if you're just like me and unable to haul yourself out of bed early enough to wash your hair every day. Definitely the best-smelling and easiest-to-use hair powder around, but also the most cheekily priced.
