Cedar Rapids Flood Animal Auction

Auction to benefit the evacuated animals of the devastating Cedar Rapids flood.

The auction will be conducted from June 25-July2, and complete details will be posted on www.iowafloodreliefauction.com.

The funds will be directed to a special "Friends of the Animal Shelter" fund via the Kirkwood Foundation (tax ID 23-7076632), which is the fundraising division of the college currently serving as the evacuation center for abandoned animals. There are several hundred dogs, even more cats, and other companion animals being housed there, and many, many more animals who are still stranded in the tens of thousands of abandoned homes.

34 companies have made generous donations to the auction. Available lots include commissioned fragrance sets, limited edition bath and body products, and etailer gift certificates. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to save lives by pampering yourself!

We take in donated items, things from everday items such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, etc- to household items such as toasters, etc. We then have a church that we "borrow" one day out of the week (Saturdays) and we open it for everyone to come in (needy, homeless, etc) and take what they need for FREE.
